Globally, we are becoming more aware of how the human footprint affects the earth at a geological scale. To move towards a more sustainable future, ENGEO has partnered with expert zero carbon / climate positive certification firm, Ekos, to measure, reduce and offset our carbon footprint.
Why should we measure our carbon footprint? To become aware: Carbon footprint measurement allows for effective and focused reduction efforts. It is a great starting point for individuals, households and businesses to analyse their current emissions and reduce their negative impact.
Aligning with Ekos, ENGEO will learn more about the impact of our baseline emissions footprint. We offset this by purchasing carbon credits from indigenous forests in Aotearoa and the Pacific Islands, sourced from the unique Ekos supply chain. The carbon offset is in conjunction with efforts by ENGEO offices to deliberately act more sustainably through our services and daily operations.
