We are delighted to announce the release of the groundbreaking guidance on preventing landslide damage, as highlighted by the Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake. This comprehensive document represents a significant advancement in geotechnical engineering, providing essential technical and practical guidance to professionals dedicated to ensuring slope stability and safety. It will now be easier to identify and evaluate landslide risk thanks to new guidance for geoprofessionals from the New Zealand Geotechnical Society (NZGS).
This new guidance offers a robust framework for assessing and managing landslide hazards. It includes detailed methodologies for identifying landslide-prone areas, evaluating risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
ENGEO is incredibly proud to have been an integral part of this initiative. Our very own Richard Justice led the charge as the lead author, with invaluable contributions from our talented team members Alan Wightman and Naomi Norris. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing safety and resilience in our communities.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this possible. Your dedication and expertise have been nothing short of inspiring.
